Can you believe that Christmas is ony a few weeks away!
Now that the summer weather is here (and the winds are finally dying down), we are out in the garden every evening watering our valuable vegetables that we planted a few months ago for Christmas dinner.
As we prepare for the entire clan to descend for the holidays (this means a lot of bed shuffling), we are starting to worry that maybe we do not have enough vegetable beds.... as these have slowly been taken over by our strawberries... not that the kids are complaining. So holiday project to get building which means we also need to start propagating to fill our new garden beds with veges for us and Dandelions for the chickens.
Happy gardening and happy holidays, Warren & Monique
We have finally sourced some good quality seedling / propagation trays that have just arrived this month. The rectangular tray measures 54 x 27 x 6cm and the square tray 42 x 42 x 5cm. As an introductory offer these will both be selling at just $2.00 each!! Order here.
This Months Special
With dryer weather looming, it's time to think about mulching around your container and basket plantings to keep in valuable moisture.
SlugGone is great for this and it has the added advantage of providing a highly effective barrier against slugs and snails! As a self-felting mulch it also helps to suppress weeds and enriches soil by releasing nutrients. As SlugGone absorbs and retains moisture it is also ideal to mix with soils and composts. Most importantly is is a natural organic product which is safe to use around your children and pets and will not harm wildlife.
